Kurdish Flow · for Mac & Windows

Hold a key. Speak Kurdish.
It's typed.

Dictate Sorani or Kurmanji into any app on your Mac or Windows PC. Hold your hotkey, say what you mean, let go — the Kurdish text lands at your cursor.

Windows: Windows 10+ · 64-bit · 12 MB

Three steps, once

Then you never think about it again

Install it

On a Mac, drag Kurdish Flow to your Applications folder and grant it Accessibility permission — that is how it types into other apps. On Windows, just run the installer.

Use the same KurdishTTS account you already have. No API keys, no server addresses, nothing to copy and paste.

Hold the key and talk

Press and hold your hotkey in any text field, speak Sorani or Kurmanji, let go. The Kurdish text appears at your cursor.

Kurdish, wherever you type

It is a keyboard, not an app you switch to

Works in every app

Mail, Slack, Word, a browser, your terminal. If you can type into it, you can talk into it.

Sorani and Kurmanji

Switch dialect in one click. Both run on the same models that power kurdishtts.com.

Punctuation included

Commas and full stops are added for you, so what lands is text you can send, not a transcript you have to fix.

Long-form is fine

Speak a full paragraph in one press. It holds an utterance up to 30 seconds.

Nothing to configure

No keys, no URLs, no models to download. Sign in and it works.

Your clipboard is left alone

The text is pasted at your cursor and whatever you had copied is put back exactly as it was.

Before you download

What Kurdish Flow does not do yet

Mac and Windows

Requires macOS 12 or later on an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 and newer), or Windows 10 or later on a 64-bit PC. There is no Intel Mac or Linux build.

Windows may warn you once

The Windows installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen can show “Windows protected your PC” on first run. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. Signing is on the way.

It needs the internet

Transcription runs on our servers, not on your computer. Offline, it will not work.

No live words while you speak

You hold, talk, release — then the whole utterance is typed at once. Nothing appears mid-sentence, by design: no half-guessed words to watch being rewritten.

Stop typing Kurdish. Start speaking it.

Free for 500 dictated words every week — upgrade to Pro in the app for unlimited ($15/mo, or $10/mo billed yearly). You will need a KurdishTTS account — the same one you use on this site.

Prefer not to install anything? Use Kurdish speech-to-text in your browser.

Hear Kurdish in your own words.
