Dictate Kurdish on Your Mac or Windows PC
Typing Kurdish on a computer is slow — switching keyboard layouts, hunting for the right characters, fixing autocorrect. Kurdish Flow replaces all of it with your voice: hold a hotkey anywhere on your Mac or Windows PC, speak Sorani or Kurmanji, release, and the Kurdish text is typed at your cursor — in WhatsApp Web, email, Word, or any other app.
Step 1 — Download and install
Download the app from kurdishtts.com/flow. On a Mac (Apple Silicon, macOS 12 or later), drag Kurdish Flow into your Applications folder, open it, and grant Accessibility permission when asked — that permission is how the app types into other apps. On Windows (Windows 10 or later, 64-bit), just run the installer.
Step 2 — Sign in
Open the app and sign in with your free KurdishTTS account — the same one you use on the website. There are no API keys, server addresses, or model downloads: the app streams your speech to the same recognition models that power Kurdish speech to text online.
Step 3 — Hold the hotkey and talk
Click into any text field, press and hold the hotkey — Alt + Space on a Mac, Ctrl + Space on Windows by default, changeable in the app settings — say what you mean, and let go. The recognized Kurdish text appears at your cursor a moment later. Pick your dialect — Sorani (Arabic script) or Kurmanji (Latin script) — in the app, and switch it any time.
A quiet room and a natural speaking pace give the best results. Short phrases land fastest; full sentences give the recognizer more context for rare words.
